How much does Marshie charge?
Flat fee 5,000 to 50,000. Prices subject to change. Typically a virtual speaking event (either to a live audience or via a pre-recorded speech) will cost 10 to 50% less than in-person event dependent on size anticpation.
What is the typical duration of a keynote speech and what is included?
The price quoted is based on a 30-60 minute keynote speech or moderated conversation. If you are looking for a speaker to deliver only a 15-minute speech, the fee remains the same. If you are requesting, a morning speech, and then another speech in the evening, this is considered a full day event and will incur a 1.5-2x fee increase.
What other activities will Marshie do?
In addition to delivering a speech, you can hire her for: half-day and full-day training and workshops, beakout sessions, meet and greets, Q&A's, panel discussions, emcee and event moderation, or marketing activities in addition to a speaking opportunity. She will promoter your event on her social media channels or create a marketing video (which you provide) that you can send to attendees to amp up excitement and drive ticket sales. Please mention all desired activities on your intake form and during your consultation to facilitate your requests. Keep in mind the other activities will be a negotiated in your contract.
What types of events does Marshie typically speak at?
She can speak at a wide range of events, virtual or in person, including conferences, corporate meetings, industry conventions, seminars, workshops, fundraising galas, educational programs, women's retreats and other special occasions where an inspirational interactive or informative address is desired.
Do non-profits or schools receive discounts on speaker fees?
Once she knows more about your event and topic choices she will let you know about a discount for your non profit.
Does the scale of the event and audience size affect her speaker fee?
Whether your audience consists of 10 or 500, it typically doesn't affect her fee. In the event is to be live-streamed to a large audience across multiple regions or recorded for future use, it more likely she will charge a premium. It is important to let her know about your recording intentions early in the ideation process, as she does not allow recording or replay, unless she states how long the recording can be used and how it can be used as well as how long you can save the recording.
Travel expenses and other costs?
Marshie charges a Travel Buyout range from $1,500 to $5,000. International travel could be more. The buyout covers origin ground transportation and flights. Client to book and pay for hotel accommodation, professional event-city ground transportation and meals. Travel expenses are not included in the speaker fee and are quoted separately.
Example fo a standard travel and expense requirement: $3,000 travel buyout in addition to the appearace fee to cover airfare, home-city ground transportation, meals and incidentals. Client to books and pays for hotel accommodation and professional event-city ground transportation in addition.
Deposits and securing a booking?
If the event is taking place within one month of booking, the full balance will be due soon after signing the agreement. If the event is happening a few months out, a 50% non-refundable deposit will be requested along with the signed agreement, and the balance is due at least two weeks before the event.
What are the payment terms and conditions?
A deposit is required upon sigining the contract, with the remaining balance due 2-4 weeks before the event. If the event is taking place within 30 days, the full balance is due upon signing.
How far in advance should I book Marshie?
It is generally advisable to book a keynote speaker as early as possible, especially if you have a specific speaker in mind or if your event is during a peak season holiday. Ideally, booking a speaker three to six months in advance can increase the chances of securing your desired speaker.
Are there any special requirements or accommodations that need to be considered?
She may have specific requirements or accommodations that need to be considered, such as travel arrangements, accommodation preferences, dietary restrictions, performance rider (AV, water, copies) and or accessibility needs.
Does Marshie offer customization options for their presentation?
Yes, she can tailor her content, examples or case studies to align with your event's theme, industry or specific audience. Discuss your customization needs with her so she can guide you accordingly. Marshie will be happy to join a planning call and customize her talk to your unique goals.
Does she participate in pre-event activities such as panel discussions or Q&A sessions?
She will consider your needs such as panel discussions, Q&A sessions or meet-and-greet sessions. Please share your specific requirements with her during the firm offer phase, so she can work on getting you everything you need.
